News was reported last night that a Sex and the City HBO Max revival was going ahead but wouldn’t feature argubly the shows shining star Kim Cattral.

Sex and the City HBO Max

With a paycheque of $1M per episode in this 10 episode comissioned series Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are all set to return to the show titled ‘And Just Like That’.

All three actresses will also be executive producers on the show.

Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed that co-star Kim Cattral who plays the sexually fuelled and absolutely hilarious Samantha Joness will not be featuring.

It has also been confirmed that Cattral’s character in the show will not be recast which is a small silver lining.

Rumour has it there’s still an ongoing feud between Cattral and Parker but leaving out the shows core character is the equivalent of leaving out Joey in a Friends series reunion for example.

The HBO Max series will follow the trio as they navigate love and friendship in their 50s.

Each episode will be 30 minutes long and production is set to begin in late spring.

After seeing the movies (and not actually hating them) the sole reason I watched was for the wonderful resorts they visited and for Samantha’s smutty humour.

An older and wiser female Stifler from American Pie and the comedic relief and driving force behind the films.

Naturally I can’t comment in regards to the series as i’ve never seen one episode but in terms of the Sex and the City movies I can’t even imagine them without Kim Cattral so the series will be a bittersweet edition for diehard fans i’m sure.

A real shame for the fanbase but let’s hope one day the feud is sorted in time for a third movie because heck, I’d go to see it, I’ve seen the first two, so why not?
