Sextuplets Review: Laugh-Out-Loud Comedy with Heart

Sextuplets

Marlon Wayans teams up with director Michael Tiddes (Haunted House) for the Netflix comedy Sextuplets.

Sextuplets Review

Channeling his inner Eddie Murphy, Marlon Wayans plays the role of Alan, a father to be who goes searching for his long lost family. What follows us a wacky journey of discovery to find his long lost family.

sextuplets review

Sextuplets is a comedy movie with heart. A much more toned down Wayans than the one we’ve seen in Haunted House 1&2 / the incredible series Marlon.

This film is solely aimed at families who want to laugh out loud and enjoy a great movie.

Wayans shows some serious range in this movie. The difficulties of acting with yourself and against yourself is no easy feat.

sextuplets review

Marlon takes this in his stride and delivers every scene with gusto and the comedic flair that has defined his career. There are many laugh out loud moments including a scene with a bull being a stand-out favourite of mine.

This road-trip map capped adventure is certainly a strong Netflix comedy and it’s about time we had good ol fashioned fun watching movies again.

Everything is zombies this, sci-fi that. Sextuplets goes back to the roots of Grade-A 90’s comedies that really deliver in the belly laugh department. Not only that but Sextuplets delivers with heart.

Beyond all the craziness and the hilarity the film hits the core values of a strong sense of family values and bonding. Hats off to all those involved!
