Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse Review: Unbelievable!

Spider-Man Movie

This was truly unbelievable. Nick Clement is still picking his jaw up off the floor as he brings us his Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse review.

Spiderman Across the Spider Verse

After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders. He must soon redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

I’m no easy-lay with animation. But this? Get outta town – get right outta town with this bonkers-level insanity!

Emotionally compelling, visually dazzling in ways that most movies couldn’t ever dream, and filled with so much passion for the titular character that every frame is literally exploding with energy and excitement – the folks who made this clearly had a mission and they annihilated their assignment.

Spider-Verse

I don’t understand how any of the artisans who pulled off this blitzkrieg of Spiderman flavored cinematic LSD ever felt that they were “done.” It’s like everyone was working a 26 hour day.

Mesmerizing doesn’t cover it – this is a living, breathing, panelled comic book that’s been splashed all over movie screens, and I’ve never seen anything like it.

It’s exhausting in the best possible way that a movie could be. A complete grand slam and so unique to what we have seen on the big screens before. It was truly something rather remarkable.

To further note what Nick has to put I’d highly suggest seeing Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse in IMAX as opposed to a normal screening. The visuals are shot in such a way that a regular screen doesn’t do them justice. It needs a big screen and IMAX caters to that need perfectly with the addition of better sound.

Avoid 4DX cinemas with this title as the vigorous movements mixed with the way in which this film is shot just won’t mix. It’s the equivalent of adding real life motion blur to your viewing experience. I just wouldn’t recommend it.

Summary

A film that has come along and taught everyone else how it’s done. Marvel has been wobbling all over the place lately and GOTG3 was by a thread steering the ship but if this is anything to go by. The future is bright for at least the animated future of these Spider-Man flicks
