Spookfest Manchester is brand new for 2021 as a spooky spectacle comes to the Trafford Centre this Halloween.

This week we were invited down to Gandeys Circus in Trafford after the team thoroughly enjoyed our Trentham Circus VLOG over on our sister site Lift Hills and Thrills.
But right next to Gandeys Circus tent lies Spookfest, this brand new Halloween themed funfair with a great range of rides, food stalls and atmosphere.
From a creepy hay bale maze to the Terror Towers ghost train Spookfest has a Halloween atmosphere nailed down.
Dotting spooky animatronics around the park and theming up funfair rides certainly goes that extra mile towards making it feel more spooky.

Halloween events rarely theme their funfair rides, they just leave them as is and be done with it. Spookfest went the extra mile in adding just those little extra details that others don’t and it certainly made all the difference.
From pizza and Thai food to dirty fries and milkshakes, there was enough food to keep even Eddie Hall happy as there was plenty on offer to choose from!
There were small rides for kids blended with big adult rides such as Rock Rage for those brave enough to ride it.
Previous rides from Oktoberfest also featured including an Oktoberfest themed funhouse and swinging ship ride Das Fun Schiff.

I’ve never seen a swinging ship funfair ride before and it absolutely blew me away!
It felt even more intense than a theme park swinging ship alternative.
Sitting on the ride watching peoples faces turn from happiness to sickness is always a comedy gold moment when I ride those type of rides.
With Spookfest located straight next to the Orient Food Course of the Trafford Centre, its location couldn’t be more perfect.
The prices of some of the food stalls within Spookfest were a little steep but right next door is a food court littered with options.

From over the counter food to sit-down restaurant food it was the perfect location for eating and the perfect safe haven from the weather.
When we arrived at the Trafford Centre the heavens opened so we took refuge inside the Trafford Centre.
I can think of worse places to hide from the rain, can’t you?
If that wasn’t enough the Gandeys Halloween Spectacular circus absolutely blew the house down with a bigger and better show than that of the Trentham alternative.
The larger big top allowed for bigger set pieces and as a result more death-defying acts.

As a whole Spookfest absolutely nailed it and I cannot wait to see it back (crossed fingers) for 2022.
I was impressed by the range of rides, the extra touches that made all the difference and the spooky music playing around the park with a dance number of two sneaking into the mix.
If the event was to return next year I’d highly recommend coming early as at night it was absolutely heaving!
