Squid Game Honeycomb Challenge Comes to Staffordshire Café

Officially the most popular Netflix show ever created, a café in Stone, Staffordshire has recreated the Squid Game honeycomb challenge, without the merciless killing, thankfully.

Oatcakes and Milkshakes in Stone specialising in milkshakes (and oatcakes funnily enough) as this brand new challenge is laid out for diners to complete inspired by the Netflix show.

Known for its monster milkshakes the latest addition to the menu is inspired by the Korean series that sees contestants play children’s games to win money.

The losers of each game are killed off and the prize money increases. The last man or woman standing is the winner and the money is theirs to keep.

Slightly less murderous in its design and with no prize money at stake the challenge involves guests cut out a shape from a piece of honeycomb-like shaped candy called dalgona.

Using teeth and a metal chipping tool contestants must cut the shape out perfectly. If they break the shape or cross the lines of the shape in any way the challenge is over.

If the challenge is successful the £10 you paid for the challenge (that comes with a beautiful Squid Game Monster Shake) will be on the house.

You can enjoy your huge milkshake free of charge and not worry about your life being brutally ended anytime soon.

The special is recommended for over 18s only (I’m not sure why) and features a honeycomb milkshake with hazelnut spread frosted glass covered in honeycomb pieces and topped with black ice cream and edible squid game symbols that are shown on the business cards used in the show.

I’m certainly not someone with a sweet tooth as this beautifully presented drink looked as though it would take physical years off my life just by gazing at its immaculate presentation but my god did the milkshake underneath the mountain of squid game look wonderful!

The honeycomb task isn’t easy as many have failed including staff members and even my good buddy Ash Thomas (from Ash Thomas Films) who attempted the challenge and failed horribly (sorry buddy).

If you fail this challenge you’ll pay with your…

Wallet.

You have 2 minutes to cut out the shape by any means necessary and within a matter of seconds, his shape had been completely destroyed.

Your challenge begins as you choose a number between 1 and 4, these numbers correspond to a different shape within the honeycomb and in this case, it was a star.

Arguably one of the harder shapes to get out of honeycomb let’s be honest, although I can’t imagine any of them are what you would call easy.

If the Squid Game was real, we would have no staff left after the challenge as they all failed

So whilst Ash failed the Squid Game Honeycomb challenge he made the most of it and made a video out of it of which you can enjoy below.
