The History of 30 East Drive

30 East Drive

Built in the 1950s, 30 East Drive initially appeared as an ordinary, modest residence. However, it was in the 1960s that the Pritchard family, who resided in the house, began to experience a series of supernatural occurrences that would forever etch the property’s name into the annals of paranormal history.

Jean and Joe Pritchard, along with their teenage son Philip, became unwitting participants in a haunting that would soon capture international attention.

The haunting of the property revolves around a menacing figure known as the Black Monk of Pontefract. Witnesses have reported seeing a tall, shadowy figure wearing a black robe, often manifesting near the staircase or hovering over the bed of unsuspecting occupants. The entity’s eerie presence has left many visitors shaken to their core.

Objects have been known to move, be thrown or disappear entirely. Inexplicable occurrences have been captured on camera and many a tale has been weaved around this haunted abode.

So after all of those scary stories about this property owner of the museum Craig, his partner Gemma and a friend of there’s drove to go and pick up the front door of all things from the property. The door was going to be replaced after getting damaged but instead of throwing it out it’s now housed in the Haunted Museum in Stoke on Trent.
