After touring the likes of Poland, Germany, Holland and even Russia The Circus of Horrors arrived at the Victoria Hall in Stoke on Trent, UK and I had the honour of checking out their incredible 25th Anniversary show.
25th Anniversary The Circus of Horrors Review

Going into the show I had no idea what to expect. I’ve seen many a horror show before but nothing on this scale.
The Circus of Horrors can only be described as if PT Barnum and Marilyn Manson had a love child who loved Slipknot and this child was then orchestrated and directed by Alice Cooper.
That goes just someway towards what The Circus of Horrors is all about.
It’s a rock show, freak show, stunt show spectacle all rolled into one with a dwarf swinging a cannonball from his penis to cap it all off.
Yes, folks, The Circus of Horrors is not for children!

The show begins by warning the audience that it’s not for people of a nervous disposition, it’s not for children and not for chavs.
Looking around there were people from all walks of life. Certainly not the Rocky Horror Picture Show style audience I was expecting.

“Jaw-Dropping, Mind-Blowing and an Explosive Performance of Epic Proportions” – Sean Evans
In a scene reminiscent of The Wolf of Wall Street we have Captain Dan putting a Henry hoover in some unusual places and lighting fireworks out of his bottom like wee-man in Jackass: The Movie. I was absolutely in stitches. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Tears filled my eyes to the point where I couldn’t see what was happening on stage.
The show was hilarious, daring, spooky, scary, grotesque and epic all wrapped into one!

Audience interaction is a big part of The Circus of Horrors. Everyone on the floor seats was interacted with in some capacity.
Made to feel like one of the family audience members are chosen for certain tasks and after going behind the scenes of this production it’s so clear why people fall in love with the circus.

Filled with the kind of acts where one slip could be fatal.
Your body urging you to look away but you just can’t help but watch in awe.
The audience (myself included) was sat there in pure admiration and sheer inspiration at the dedication and hard work it has taken to get to this stage of their careers.

From Trapeze artists to sword swallowers and contortionists and more, they’re all packed into this brain-melting rock concert.
Dr.Haze playing frontman and ringmaster in this carnival of terrors with tasty riffs and insane stunts.
Both combining in one of the best shows I’ve ever seen on a stage to date.
Overall

The Circus of Horrors is a show where you should expect craziness, expect nudity and most of all expect to be engrossed beyond your wildest dreams!
Take a trip to hell and bathe in the heatwave.
A heart-pounding, show-stopping spectacle that is rocking its 25th Anniversary and will continue to rock throughout the 2020 calendar.
Check out my VLOG below whilst my throat recovers from attempting sword swallowing!
Thank you to the Victoria Hall in Stoke for having me! A HUGE thank you to The Circus of Horrors too for allowing me to join your family for a day.
It’s something I’ll never forget.
