Harry Potter-inspired indoor crazy gold venue The Hole in Wand is set to expand its UK offerings with a brand new attraction opening in Chester this May.

The Hole in Wand Chester will complement the very successful Hole in Wand attractions in York and Blackpool where wizards take part in magical-themed courses with a crazy golf twist.
Chester city centre will be the home to the new 9-hole attraction and a Venue Manager (Chief Wizard) is already being recruited as we speak ahead of its grand opening next month.

Hole in Wand has been open for five years proving to be very popular amongst muggles.
Located on Eastgate Street prices start from £6.99 per player and each player will receive a signature potion to take away worth £3.49, it’s an absolute bargain and I still can’t wrap my head around how they make money!
Potions including Basilisk Blood, Tears of a Wizard, Unicorn Essence and Serpents Venom are non-alcoholic whereas the poisons are all alcoholic.

There are plenty of gifts in the shop to pick up after your golfing experience.
Our favourite Hole in Wand attraction is the Blackpool Hole in Wand where well-thought-out holes combine with a great atmosphere for a fun-themed immersive experience.
York Hole in Wand we felt was a little bit cobbled together where it was more about the theming with the holes themselves being quite cramped or overly complicated.
There’s a fine balance between themed and fun and Blackpool hit the nail on the head with both.

With some great attractions in Chester already such as Deva Roman Experience and Sick to Death, Hole in Wand will complement them both wonderfully!
Chief enchantment officer and co-founder Ben Fry, said:
Chester is steeped in its own history, much like York and Blackpool therefore Chester is the perfect city for The Hole In Wand mini golf to continue its expansion in the UK.
Phil Pinder, director of Wizardry and co-founder, said:
Each golf course has its own magical story based on the history of the area with York focused heavily on the Georgian period, Blackpool on the Pendle Valley and Witches trials, Chester naturally lends itself to Roman inspiration with a dash of Unicorn!
