Sale is set to become the home of a brand-new independent cinema. The Northern Light Manero Cinema features luxury seating, the latest laser technology and surround sound.

Greater Manchester is ready to welcome a whole host of moviegoers with the grand opening of The Northern Light cinema coming to Stanley Square.
Set to open early 2025 the cinema will offer an unparalleled cinematic experience, showcasing the latest Hollywood has to offer as well as independent, foreign language, classic films and National Theatre Productions, and other live events from around the globe.
Open all year round (excluding Christmas Day) the cinema will feature three screens with plush seating including armchairs and sofas for maximum comfort.

There will also be a bar serving wine, local craft beer, homemade cake, fresh popcorn and cinema snacks.
Manero Cinemas Limited who are owners of the Rex in Wilmslow and Savoy in Heaton Moor are behind the new attraction as the Sale venue will become the group’s sixth cinema.
Owner and managing director or Manero Cinemas Limited, Tony Mundin, said:

Stanley Square is recieving a wider regeneration which has seen a number of independents set up shop in the newly revived town.
Michael Brown director of Altered Space the organisation behind the regenerated development said:
We are delighted to welcome The Northern Light Cinema to Stanley Square. The venue will be an excellent addition, further diversifying our offering and increasing footfall throughout the day and into the evening. It will also complement our exciting line up of food and beverage businesses.
The Northern Light Manero Cinema will be located in the current WHSmith unit, which will be vacated in September 2024.
