A boy performs an experiment that leaves him with the ability to read his dogs thoughts. Check out our Think Like A Dog review.

With a wonderful cast Think Like A Dog certain has oodles of charm.
The movie is funny and using real life dogs throughtout the movie was a nice touch. The film could easily be titled under a Disney banner and no one would blink an eye, it really does have that child-like innocent magic.
A fresh spin on the talking dog genre as the young boy’s (Gabriel Bateman, Child’s Play) experiment allows him to read his dogs mind.
Determined to impress his idol, tech innovator Ram Mills (Kunal Nayyar) Ollie uses a school science fair experiment. When this fails Ollie tries it again but instead of a human uses his beloved dog Henry as a test subject.
What follows is a wonderful buddy comedy where Gabriel Bateman and Henry (Voice by Todd Stashwick) steal the show.
It’s a little ruff (see what I did there) around the edges and Kunal Nayyar isn’t entirely convincing in the role he’s playing but it’s a rather endearing film when it comes to family values.
Now that Ollie can communicate with his dog, he realises that his parents (played by Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel) are on the verge of splitting up and they hatch a plan to revitalise the lost spark in their marriage.
Whilst all of this feels a little rushed and half-assed the end product is still more than satisfying enough.
I went into the movie with low expectations and came out plesantly suprised.
Bryan Callen (MAD TV) also provides some comedic relief but most characters outside of Ollie and Henry are certainly background for the most part.
Think Like A Dog is now available on VOD and is well worth checking out.
A feel-good family feature.
