On this wonderfully sunny Sunday here in the UK I’ve decided to bring you the cheeriest of articles with this Top 10 Final Destination deaths most likely to happen in real life, TO YOU!
Over the five films (and another one on the way) the Final Destination franchise put the fear of god into an entire generation.
No longer can we tailgate a lorry carrying spikes, logs or any other heavy object without referencing the film.
No longer can we lie in a tanning bed without absolutely making sure nothing can jam us in there and all the other iconic scenes from this grisly yet rather wonderful franchise.
Many a scene implanted into my brain with the incredibly gnarly death scenes with some superb practical FX work.
Something can happen to you at any time of your life and this film certainly makes you aware of that fact.
Death can come for any of us at any time and that thought alone is truly terrifying.
2022 marks the 22nd anniversary of the franchise and horror outlet Bloody Disgusting were sent a report from Downtown LA Law which listed the Top 10 final destination deaths that could realistically happen to you in your lifetime.
By analysing data from more than 300,000 ER visits it was discovered that injuries from ladders were the top Final Destination injuries followed by scaling a fence and weight training.
Tanning bed injuries were listed as the least frequent with only one tanning bed injury reported in the whole of the United States.
So below you will find the 10 most common Final Destination-related injuries.

Farid Yaghoubtil, Senior Trial Attorney at Downtown L.A Law Group, said:
“When looking for film franchises which highlight the wacky and strange ways people can get injured, you don’t need to look any further than Final Destination.
Delving into the deaths across the entirety of the franchise though, even I was surprised at just how creative and imaginative the teams working on the films had been.
The purpose of the research was to establish how, even though a lot of the casualties in the films are very strange, being injured is something that can happen at any time, and can also happen in extremely unusual circumstances.
Looking at the NEISS data, this is certainly true – our hope is that the research will remind people to take care of themselves in every situation.”
After looking at the findings its safe to say I’ll try to avoid as many ladders as humanly possible from now on with the ladder to success being the only ladder I’ll be interested in climbing!
