New character posters have been revealed for Transformers One as Chris Hemsworth makes very little effort to sound like anyone other than himself in this animated star-studded adventure.

Transformers One is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever.
In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, TRANSFORMERS ONE features a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, with Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm.

Thanks to Paramount for sending over thesse Transformers One character posters!

Whilst the trailer plays out like a very forced Marvel comedy the animation quality looks spot on and whilst this riff on the Transformers franchise is star-studded to the max it feels hollow at the same time.
I’m pretty sure execs are just greenlighting just about everything they can at the moment until something sticks and this certainly looks like one of those films but despite the trailer feeling forced a certain moment did make me chuckle.

I have a simple humour so maybe, just maybe I’d enjoy this one, I’ve just got to tolerate Chris Hemsworth sounding like Chris Hemsworth instead of Optimus Prime for a movie.
Check out the trailer below and let me know what you think about Transformers One.
