This 2,400 square foot property was the home of Buffalo Bill in The Silence of the Lambs.
Not only a piece of iconic movie history but for some reason people just do not want to purchase this property despite its rather cheap $298,500 asking price.

Lizzie Borden’s House
Did she kill her father and stepmother?
Well, that remains a mystery.
Whilst this isn’t the murder house itself this is the home that Lizzie moved to after the event where she lived until she passed in 1927.

The Black Dahlia Murders still remain unsolved to this day and this very home is the home where Elizabeth Short was rumoured to have been killed.
After a $2 million renovation this home was recently on the market priced at $4.7 million.

The Gardette-LePretre Haunted Mansion
Known as Sultan’s house this property in New Orleans was the location for a massacre.
It was only when neighbours spotted blood trickling from under the doors that police were notified of the horrors within.
All inhabitants had been killed with swords or axes and the Sultan himself had been buried alive in the backyard.
A grim history and quite the steep price tag as this nine bedroom, ten bath property is on the market for $2.65 million
Colorado Ghost Town

Upton, Colorado was a once thriving town that after the main railroad through the town left in the early 1900’s along with a new highway system that bypassed the town being built in the 1960’s the town was left to ruin.
The whole town (after a recent restoration) went on the market in 2014 for $2 million.
This included a train depot, dance hall, saloon and chapel.

Amityville Horror House
A house that needs no introduction but also a house that is now off the market.
Yes the home where Ronald DeFeo got up in the middle of the night in 1974 and brutally murdered his parents and four siblings with a rifle while they slept has been sold.
The Amityville Horror House sold in 2017 for $605,000 and many a horror fan has been caught lurking around the property for those glorious photo opportunities.
World’s Biggest Ghost House
This 110 room property in Pennsylvania has a rich history with the A.B Widener family as the homes occupants.
Widener invested in the Titanic but his son and grandson would perish on the ships maiden voyage.
Widener himself is said to have died from guilt and grief a mere three years later and the Widener ghosts are said to be the homes caretakers.
The home was priced at $20 million in 2014 but dropped to $16.5 million in 2015.
To this day the property has still not sold.
