Would You Spend A Night in Any of These Silver Screen Staycations?

Silver screen staycations

From Star Wars’ Cando Bright to a sunny getaway at Jurassic Park’s Isla Nublar there are many wonderful places to stay on the silver screen. Minus the dinosaur outbreak of course, a mere glitch in an otherwise lovely vacation spot.

The team over at Betway have put together a small list of some wonderfully bespoke silver screen staycation locations from popular fictional movie destinations.

Galaxy's Edge Marketplace

Each location has been turned into a captivating destination poster along with a rough cost of a full package holiday. Naturally we assume that Isla Nublar would mean taking out a substantial insurance policy! I wonder if dinosaur attacks would be covered?

Without further do here’s a little sample of what Betway have pieced together:

The Overlook Hotel

All bookings and no play make Sean a dull boy. With The Shining sequel Doctor Sleep just around the corner it made sense to add the infamous Overlook Hotel to the list. With beautiful views of the Colorado mountains you’d be crazy not to stay at this wonderful turn-of-the-century property.

To calculate prices Betway added up the costs of Colorado’s Stanley Hotel (the hotel that inspired Stephen King’s original novel). With flights, hotel and food factored in (ontop of insurance fees) the total comes to a nice £2575.39.

HOGSMEADE (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, 2004)

The only wizarding village in the UK, Hogsmeade is a magical place. Snow sprinkled rooftops and lovely cottages. Drink butterbeer until you’re stumbling in the streets and if you dare, visit the Shrieking Shack.

Calculating costs around the Scottish Highlands (Hogwarts / Hogsmeade locations) they calculated the price at £194.
