Here’s my ultimate selection of Back to the Future merch that you must have in your life.
It’s always hard finding the right selection of merchandise from your favourite movie.
There’s always a scale action figure, a funko pop vinyl figure, numerous board games and toys to choose from varying in price.
But these are common items of merchandise.
We want something special.
Something to truly celebrate the franchise you love and that franchise for me is Back to the Future.
After a little research, I’ve come up with a selection of items that go beyond the boundaries of just merchandise and almost become statement pieces in their own right.
Here’s my very own list of Back to the Future merch that every fan should own.
DeLorean Time Machine Console Desk Light
GREAT SCOTT!
This is certainly one detailed piece of merchandise.
This official Back to the Future project designed and engineered by Numskull Designs features the DeLorean Time Machine console.
Set up those time circuits and prepare yourselves for time travel with this 3D moulded lamp.
Place it on your desk, shelf or if you’re a big nerd, inside your car!
It really is one of those collectables that looks the part and serves a purpose, the perfect combination in my opinion.
Eaglemoss DeLorean
A build that took two years off my life as this 130 issue series will have you assembling your very own diecast metal 1:8 scale replica DeLorean with working lights.
The detail on this model is unparalleled and that does reflect in the cost of the model.
With creative input from Joe Walser, the man who restored the screen-used DeLorean in the wonderful documentary Outatime you just won’t beat the level of detail on display.
Back to the Future 1:1 Hoverboard
Another must-have item in your merchandise collection is this Back to the Future 1:1 hoverboard.
Made by Mattel this 1:1 replica prop is an exact recreation from the one seen in the movie (minus the hovering, of course).
Whether it’s for cosplay or just a display centrepiece amongst your collection you can’t go wrong.
The hoverboard also ships in a really funky retro box which would look great alongside your board in a cabinet display.
Halloween Costumes currently sell the board along with a wig, light up shoes, jacket, glasses and more if you want the full get up!
OUTATIME: Saving the DeLorean Time Machine
Rather than just a documentary OUTATIME: Saving the DeLorean Time Machine is a right of passage.
Lovingly crafted this beautiful celebration of all things Back to the Future tells the story of Joe Walser and his team who took one of the screen-used DeLoreans from the film and resorted it to its former glory.
This unbelievable story shows the passion of the fans and filmmakers alike to preserve this piece of cinema history.
Following the efforts of Bob Gale, Universal Studios and this group of dedicated fans this truly is the best prop restoration documentaries I’ve ever had the pleasure to witness.
Grays Sports Almanac
I hoped and prayed that this book would exist in the world somewhere.
Ever since I watched Back to the Future II the hunt began to find this mythical sports almanac.
A documented journal of all sports results of the future where betting on a winner would be a guaranteed certainty of your victory.
This 155-page sports statistics replica shows 50 years of sports stats from 1950 up until the year 2000.
From American Football to Ice Hockey, Baseball and more this little movie prop replica is a MUST-HAVE!
Playmobil DeLorean
If the Eaglemoss DeLorean replica is a little out of your price range then this more affordable Playmobil DeLorean is the next best thing.

We’re shying away from Pop Figures because let’s face it, every man, woman, child and pet probably has their own collection by now!
Instead, we bring you, TUBBZ.
Collectable cosplay ducks that are themed around your favourite TV and movie characters.
Both Marty McFly and Doc Brown TUBBZ figures contain such wonderfully crafted detail.
I’m just waiting on a Biff Tannen one to be made now!
Numskull Designs are also behind these TUBBZ figures and I absolutely love the unique merchandise they are bringing not just to Back to the Future ranges but other huge franchises too.

Autographs
Monopoly Events put on some of the best UK conventions around and their private signings attract some of the biggest stars in the world.
Prepare your wallets as autographs are VERY expensive when it comes to private signings especially with Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd.
If you happen to see them at a convention then you absolutely need to get your autographs there as they’re usually much cheaper than private signing charges.
Back in 2015, Michael J Fox’s autograph at Showmasters Comic-Con was under £150.
Only recently in a Prop Store auction, a Michael J Fox Signed Back to the Future poster fetched over £5000!
