When a new film is released nothing quite beats searching around for unique promotional merchandise for the film but Alien Romulus has certainly hit the nail on the head with these epic popcorn buckets.
Odeon Luxe seems to be the only cinema chain in the UK that leans into themed cinema merchandise from popcorn buckets and drinks.
Only a couple of weeks ago I arrived inside an Odeon Luxe in Tamworth and spotted a Deadpool head that you could drink from and I thought, how cool?!
Normally the themed cinema apparel is only strictly released in America, they get all the cool stuff!
I even went as far as purchasing the Scream popcorn bucket from America when that was released and was quite disgusted with myself when the shipping was even more expensive to the UK than the popcorn bucket itself!
Whilst there are some better designs still over in America I’m still grateful that the UK are at least getting something special to celebrate this upcoming big-screen releases.
Let’s take a look at the Odeon Luxe release which is a special edition Space Hugger combo which includes the collectors tin popcorn bucket with facehugger attachment and a large drink.
Now this is a solid popcorn bucket for any budding alien fan, just take a look at the two options the guys over in America had for the film release:

I think it’s safe to say there’s a clear winner here but nonetheless, we still have a little something to celebrate the release of this exciting movie which has already received some rave reviews from those lucky enough to have seen it already.
Whilst these popcorn buckets are limited and in short supply, their resale value online is quite staggering. Currently, the UK popcorn bucket is selling for between £50-£70 on eBay whilst the other too are fetching £100+ in some cases which is rather extraordinary.
Alien: Romulus is set to release in UK cinemas on August 16th (tomorrow) and you can check out the official trailer for the movie below. We’re so excited!
