Indiana Jones Fedora Sold for $630,000 at Auction!

At a recent Prop Store Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction Indy’s fedora from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) sold for a staggering $630,000!

The legendary hat worn by actor Harrison Ford was screen and photo-matched and was also worn by Stunt Performer Dean Ferrandini.

Movie prop sale prices are selling for staggering amounts as many fans claim that prop collecting is now an elite hobby with multiple items selling for amounts that far exceed the budgets of daily hobbyists.

Fans lose out on these iconic items that were once thrown in skips after a production wrapped but now fetch for eye-watering amounts as a once available collection hobby for all is sadly flying out of many consumer grasps in favour of museums, and wealthy individuals intent of owning a piece of Hollywood treasure.

Other notable sells from the auction yesterday included a 6-foot Batwing motorized filming model from the Michael Keaton 1989 Batman movie which fetched $406.205 and a Biker Scout Helmer used in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983) which sold for $315,000.
