Movie Park Germany is celebrating 30 years of park and film history in 2026 as the theme park is debuting a brand new Paramount Pictures ride as part of their anniversary celebrations.
Germany’s largest movie and amusement park will be bringing a little slice of Hollywood to Europe as this new ride will be named ‘Journey to the Forbidden Chamber’.
This ride will be a realistic film studio experience with various sets, props and show elements being created.

The new experience will bring the world of Hollywood action to life whilst focusing on a new fictional adventure story created exclusively for the park.
In what sounds like a studio tour with a twist this experience will immersive guests directly into the production and on-set operations of the world-famous Paramount Picture in Los Angeles moving from one detailed set to another.
Guests will experience first-hand what it’s like to be an extra in a major movie production with action and adventures lurking behind every corner.

Considering the old ride that was housed in this space was similar to the King Kong ride and Fast and Furious Supercharged ride at the Universal Parks I’m quite glad they’re stepping away from that tunnel system where you’re surrounded by screens and are introducing more physical sets to immerse guests far beyond that of a screen.
Construction is rapidly underway and P&P Projects are responsible for the design, theming and full remodelling of this attraction. It seems as though the tunnel attraction will still be a part of the experience (sadly) but there will certainly be more to see along the way on this immersive new ride after a full refurb.

The new attraction, which replaces the previous “The Lost Temple” attraction, is scheduled to open in mid-May.
The new movie for this experience was produced exclusively for Movie Park Germany in November.
More information about this exciting new experience will be released at a later date!
