After Michael B. Jordan scooped up an Oscar this week for his role in Sinners there’s no time like the present to be leaning a little heavier into its spoofing of the film within Scary Movie 6.
The Sinners parody looks to be one of the more prominent films spoofed within the upcoming comedy film and this new teaser released gives you a little glimpse into the chaos that is about to unfold as three vampires turn up and are waiting to be invited in, but not if Brenda, Shorty and Ray have anything to say about it.
It’s been thirteen years since we’ve seen a Scary Movie and this on promises to not hold back and I absolutely cannot wait to see the craziness unfold.
June 5th is when the movie is expected to drop and along with Sinners films such as Terrifier 3, Get Out, M3GAN, The Substance and more aren’t safe.
The Wayans Brothers wrote the screenplay for the new film with Rick Alvarez, who is no stranger to a Wayans movie with such films including A Haunted House, A Haunted House 2, Fifty Shades of Black, Naked, Sextuplets, Dance Flick, Little Man, White Chicks, and Scary Movie 2, among other things.
Michael Tiddes is also directing this one who was also behind the Haunted House movies, Fifty Shades of Black, Naked and Sextuplets and after interviewing him many moons ago, the film is in good hands.
Returning faces are back again for this instalment including franchise favourites Cindy Campbell (Anna Farris) and Brenda Meeks (Regina Hall).
Other returning cast members include Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Lochlyn Monroe, Dave Sheridan, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Jon Abrahams. Newcomers include Olivia Rose Keegan, Savannah Lee Nassif, Cameron Scott Roberts, Sydney Park, Gregg Wayans, Ruby Snowber, Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans, Heidi Gardner, and Benny Zielke.
