CJ 4DPLEX Are Unveiling a New Cinema Concept at CES 2020
CJ 4DPLEX, the world’s leading cinema technology company behind 4DX / Screen X has announced today that it will launch the company’s newest theater concept at CES 2020. This will mark the first time the company will exhibit at CES.
In 2009 the 4DX concept was introduced. The connection and immersion between audience and movie saw the tech quickly soar in popularity. Over 700 movies have been screened in 4DX with 723 theaters now in operation across 65 countries.
In 2014 the company introduced ScreenX. An immersive cinematic platform that provides moviegoers a 270-degree viewing experience by expanding the scene onto the theaters’ sidewalls. Today ScreenX has grown to 289 screens in 30 countries.

With this teaser announced from the company, I’m genuinely excited to see what the announcement will be. The company has teased the next generation of an immersive, premium movie theatre experience. Could it be an enhancement of the 4DX tech to incorporate another sense? Or could it be a whole new experience of watching films altogether? We won’t have to wait much longer to find out!
CES 2020 takes place between January 7-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. 4DX will be at Booth #20918 across all three days.
