Since 1999 when the first movie was released American Pie has solidified itself as one of the funniest comedy franchises of all time.
A movie you can watch time and time again and it never gets old or less funny. Yes, the world may be slowly being invaded by the snowflake generation but American Pie will rise above and hopefully if another movie is in the pipeline (rumours of a 2025 release date for a new film are swirling) then I hope it still has the same cheeky offensive (to some) charm it’s always had.

Consisting of 100’s of the funniest on-screen moments it was hard to pick just 5 but we’ve finally managed to get it down to my personal top 5. All of the top 5 scenes listed are all from the original cast movies and not the spin-offs, if we included those we’d be here all day!
Here we go!
My, My Miss American Pie
Jason Biggs took his role a little too seriously. Fully committed to the role he went all in (excuse the pun) and many apple pies were destroyed in the process.
After being told that a woman feels like a warm apple pie Jim (Jason Biggs) decides to introduce himself to an American pie.
Welcome to Band Camp
After Jim and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) were hilariously introduced in the first movie American Pie 2 sees Jim go to band camp.
Jim ends up in a tight band camp outfit. He also pretends that he’s a trumpet player called Petey as he goes undercover in the camp.
As a result, he somehow ends up on stage in front of a whole amphitheater audience and hilarity ensues as Petey puts on a show like no other in front of a packed audience complete with poor trombone playing and hip thrusts.
Dance Off
In American Pie the Wedding our group finds themselves on a hunt for the maker of Michelle’s wedding dress. Jim then ends up in a gay bar and a dance-off challenge is laid down after Stifler accidentally offends a good friend of the wedding dress maker they’re hunting down.
In steps Steve Stifler to show his epic moves with hilarious results with some iconic tracks to go with some unforgettable dance moves.
This sets the scene that leads to a bachelor party that no American Pie fan can ever forget!
We have so many more epic Stifler moments to name. The fact there are so many is a testament to just how funny each movie was individual.

What Happens in the Closet Stays in the Closet
Thinking that he’s going to meet love interest Cadence (January Jones) inside a closet for a quickie Steve Stifler realizes there’s been a very misfortunate mix-up.
In the dark, they go to town but when the door is opened it’s revealed that Cadence wasn’t the person in the closest with Steve. It was infact Jim’s grandmother.
That’s going to take a few showers to recover from but I still to this day can’t wrap my head how that would ever work in real life, how did he not know?!

Taking Care of Kara
In American Pie: Reunion Kara is Jim’s old next-door neighbor who he used to babysit.
After meeting her at a birthday party with the gang he offers to drive her home. She starts trying it on with Jim and eventually passes out.
The mission begins to take a now unconscious Kara back home to her bed without her parents seeing and without his own wife seeing him with a scantily clad woman.
This scene feels like it does drag on for a long time, especially when it continues inside Kara’s house and bedroom but it’s absolutely hilarious and with the John Cho cameo, it’s just comedy brilliance.
