After coming back home from this weekends activities I felt compelled to write a review for our VIP Wembley experience courtesy of Events Hospitality. This isn’t a paid for or gifted experience, this was completely paid out of my own pocket and I enjoyed it so much I decided to tell you guys all about it!
So this weekend we headed to London for Luke Combs at Wembley but as I didn’t fancy standing up for close to five hours and I’m not a huge fan of queues or crowds I decided to look into VIP options as an anniversary present for my partner.
After doing some research I came across Events Hospitality who provide a whole range of packages for Wembley gigs and I instantly opted for their £360 (inc VAT) Premium Ticket option for the two of us which includes:
- Reserved premium seat on VIP Level 2
- Access to a range of bars and lounges on the VIP concourse (pre-concert)
- Fast track entrance and exit
The second payment was made it was in the hands of Events Hospitality who in the lead up to the gig would be an itinerary, expected start and end times for the gig which was very helpful for planning transport after the concert and then last but not least the tickets which arrived three days before the event in my inbox.
All that was left to do was show up and when we did we saw thousands of people all standing outside queuing to get into their particular areas of the stadium. Not us. We simply walked to the main entrance of the stadium, up the escalators to Level 2 and were met with an empty stadium.
That’s right, 60 minutes before the gig began the entirety of Level 2 was almost deserted other than staff and the occasional concert-goer wearing a cowboy hat (me included).
No queues for food and drink and no queues for the toilets, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves and the chaos of the outside world of Luke Combs fans queuing in their thousands was already long gone.
Food and drinks weren’t included with this package but Events Hospitality do offer other lounges that include buffet options and even Premium Box hospitality so it really does all depend on budget but already this felt premium and exclusive.
We sat down with a drink and waited for the concert to start and we could take our drinks to our luxury padded seats which featured cup holders. A great touch!
What was also great about this experience is that there were multiple merchandise stands on Level 2 with no queues so if you wanted to pick up a T-Shirt, a hat or anything else on offer you could do so without any queues whatsoever, a nice touch for any fans who just want to grab a shirt without queuing for the pleasure or worrying if anything will sell out.
The premium padded seats on Level 2 are significantly more comfortable than the standard plastic seats throughout the rest of Wembley. They offer a little more space and are ideal for a concert lasting several hours. We had an excellent view of the stage, high enough to appreciate the full production while still feeling close to the action.
Of course, the highlight of the evening was Luke Combs himself. His vocals were exceptional, the atmosphere throughout Wembley was electric and hearing songs like Fast Car, Beautiful Crazy and Beer Never Broke My Heart performed live reminded everyone why he’s become one of the biggest country artists in the world.
There isn’t one Luke Combs song that I don’t enjoy and with the Castellows, Ty Mears and Thomas Rhett as support bands we had a solid introduction to what was set to be an exceptional evening.
I’ve never felt so relaxed in a stadium before and it’s these kind of packages that take away the chaos of what a gig usually is and allow you to relax and enjoy. No stress to get into the stadium, no queues, no rushing, no idiots ruining it for everyone else and the complete flexibility to head back to a bar pick up a drink or some food and come back to your seat during any intervals without worrying if you’ll miss a song or two.
For me these are luxuries that are absolutely worth it but the only downside that I’d say of the entire experience was the sound quality. In a stadium like Wembley the sound is so hit and miss and on this evenings occasion the sound quality wasn’t entirely great from our seats but this is the sound engineers fault and of no fault of the hospitality company.
Instead of remembering the chaos of the gig, with Events Hospitality you can remember the music and the experience. It’s pricey (maybe a little overpriced for what you get) but what I will say is that for a concert the seats were good but for a football match these seats would be some of the best in house so keep that in mind if you ever give Events Hospitality a whirl!
If you’re someone who gets overwhelmed in a crowd, doesn’t like queuing or someone who simply just wants a more laid back experience, you can’t go far wrong with a premium package!
