If there’s one film I’m looking forward to more than any other this calendar year it’s Scary Movie, it’s a childhood returning for me and if the film is a success you just know that more will be coming from the Wayans’ and that could very much include a highly anticipated sequel to White Chicks, but first things first, SCARY MOVIE!
Yes, stars Shawn and Marlon Wayans along with Anna Farris went for a ride around London in a custom Scary Movie taxi adorned with the classic WAZZZZZZUPPPPP Ghostface line strapped to the side of the car.
The trailers and snippets released so far have me excited and anxious about this film in equal measure. The team are saying they’re back to cancel the cancel culture and that this film won’t hold any punches in that regard but some snippets released so far have some old recycled jokes that are throwing back to the original Wayans Scary Movie films and I just hope and pray they don’t rehash too many jokes in this instalment.
It needs to be fresh, it needs to step away from its nostalgia and be its own entity without relying on its glorious success to pave its future.
I believe in the Wayans and I think Michael Tiddes who is directing this film is superb, he did the Haunted House movies with Marlon and they were superb so I hope that Scary Movie delivers in the right department in that regard.

It’s certainly got big boots to fill but with what Shawn is wearing in these photos, I think he’s pretty confident he can fill them already!
