My inner child is currently going absolutely mental as the first official die-cast Pokéball replica has been released!
The Pokémon Company International and The Wand Company have brought us this premium quality Pokéball replica.
The announcement was made only a few days ago as the first-ever licensed replica was released to the pbulic.
But not only will fans get to own their own Pokéball but plans for a Great ball, Ultra Ball and Premier Ball are in the works and will be sporadically released throughout 2021.
The product comes in a premium quality display box and uses proximity sensors that will detect touch and light up accordingly as though you’ve just captured your very own pokemon.
One click of the button on the front of the ball will start the illumination sequence that will represent the catching of said Pokémon.
Each replica comes within a presentation case authenticated by a uniquely-numbered hologram.
The replica along with its display box gives the owner numerous ways of displaying this really smart looking piece.
Amy Sachtleben, director of licensing at The Pokémon Company International said the following:
The Poké Ball is an iconic part of the Pokémon franchise, and we are thrilled to work with The Wand Company to re-create the Poké Ball as a high-quality collectible for our fans.
The Wand Company is known for their innovative designs and world-class manufacturing, making them the perfect partner to bring this vision to life.
It’s been such an exciting development and we look forward to sharing our gorgeous Poké Ball series with fans everywhere.

It’s crazy to think that all these years later than the franchise is as strong as ever!
With such a wonderful live-action movie as Detective Pikachu, the sky is the limit for the future of not only the games but the movies too.
The premium packaging on these replicas looks nothing short of sublime.
It’s such a shame that the ball doesn’t open up in my opinion as they could have really added some insane detail on the interior of the ball that could have been just as impressive as that wonderful exterior.
The lighting for me on the case is a little cheesy by the motion sensor on the ball along with the lighting effect is a nice touch if albeit a little gimmicky.
I for one cannot wait to see what these look like in person but I know that once i’ve brought one i’ll have to catch them all.
It’s in my blood!
Retailers stocking the die-cast Pokéball replica will include Amazon, Sideshow.com, Zavvi, Forbidden Planet, and Yellow Octopus.
