Actor Grant Feely has some big shoes to fill and Mark Hamill has pledged his full support for our new Luke Skywalker.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi begins ten years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
A younger generation is stepping into the shoes of one of the most iconic characters in Sci-Fi (and cinema) history.
Child actor Grant Feely will play Skywalker in the brand new Obi-Wan series debuting on Disney Plus. The series sees the return of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader.
Hamill jumped straight on social media to welcome the boy to the Star Wars universe and I’m here hoping and praying that he’s locked away in a room for the first year of release as Star Wars is notorious for its absolutely toxic fanbase. Hopefully, he’s got good people around him to hide him from the inevitable onslaught of comments if something isn’t accurate or a performance is too questionable.
God, I hate those kinds of fans.
Anyways.
Feely responded to the post and said he was ‘Honoured’ and ‘hopes to make Hamil proud’.

You got this, @grant_feely! They chose YOU for a reason. They knew you would do a wonderful job as young Luke, even though you’re much too handsome for the part.
Have fun with it! Best always from your pal, Mar🐫#SeeYouAroundKid 👍 https://t.co/s9RoYaY7ih pic.twitter.com/dkkW8LIAPr— Mark Hamill (@MarkHamill) March 20, 2022
Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere on May 25th, the 45th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.
