One franchise that for me needs to be quiet now but A Quiet Place: Day One and another film (A Quiet Place Part III) after this one in 2025 are on the way to further strain any extra pennies out of a a cool idea that debuted way back in 2018.

Paramount Pictures has today released the second full-length trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One, the upcoming spin-off of John Krasinski’s hit horror franchise.
The film takes place in a large city where the sonic-targeting aliens first arrive on earth and we experience the day the world fell silent.
Lupita Nyong’o (“Us”) and Stranger Things fan favourites Joseph Quinn alongside Alex Wolff (“Hereditary”) star in the project.
A Quiet Place: Day One is set to arrive in cinemas on June 28th with John Krasinski, Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller all onboard to produce.

Before this film has even been released there is another film planned for 2025 that will continue this storyline.
I’m all for cool films to watch on the big-screen and don’t get me wrong this will be a great film to see in the cinema, the tension always ramps up tenfold when the characters on screen are silent but another one? and another one after that?
Really?
It’s great to see the film doing so well that it warrants sequels etc but when you land in spin-off territory it does start taking the michael a little bit.

It’ll never beat the Kransinki and Blunt combo that’s for sure but I’ll certainly check it out when it arrives.
