FIRST LOOK: M3gan 2.0 Behind the Scenes

A brand new image that debuted on Vanity Fair shows the first exclusive image of M3GAN 2.0 which was a no-brainer to greenlight considering the first movie made a worldwide gross of $181 million against a $12 million budget!

M3GAN 2.0

The film wrapped its principal photography in New Zealand in October and this behind-the-scenes look shows Violet McGraw (returning as her character Cady) alongside lead puppeteer Adrien Morot who also worked on the original film.

The 2022 movie was a smash hit revolving around da life-size robotic doll called M3GAN who was introduced to help keep younger children company who have struggled with loss or the inability to make friends. Instead, M3GAN goes rogue and starts killing people to protect her new owner by any means necessary.

All main characters will return including Brian Jordan Alvarez as Cole and Jen Van Epps as Tess alongside newcomers Ivanna Sakhno, Timm Sharp, Aristotle Athari, and Jemaine Clement.

Check out just how the original film was made as M3GAN came to life with a mix of animatronics and human combos to deliver a truly chilling spectacle.

Whilst nothing else is known about the second installment it certainly has big shoes to fill given how successful the first movie was and where do you go from here? After the final film concluded it seemed as though that was a very done and dusted situation but as always with horror franchises, there’s always a twist.

Given the fact that Violet McGraw was 10 when the original movie was shot and she’s now 13 will certainly change the dynamic between herself and M3GAN and one can’t help but think this relationship between human and machine will be explored in more sinister detail during the second instalment.

MEGAN Blumhouse

We recently got to visit a very exciting Blumhouse pop-up in London which celebrated several Blumhouse franchises and M3GAN was inside in a pre-made playroom. The actress who was playing this live interaction was superb and certainly lent a very creepy vibe to an otherwise well-done pop-up event.

Darkfield provided an audio experience where you lay on a mattress in the basement depicted in the movie The Black Phone and there are special effects and actors within you in that space. It was delightfully creepy and very well done! Check out our review of Blumhouse Blackout in London HERE.
